Indy's history
Hi my name is Indy. I’m a 2 year old Beagle Australian shepherd mix. I’m about 35 lbs. My Mom say I’m very cute and my Dad says I’m smart.
I grew up in Prescott, AZ with a family who gave me up for adoption when I was 14 months old. I had 3 newborn puppies and my first family gave me and the puppies to the local shelter. I’m so glad they cared enough about me to place me in a shelter and not just abandoned me.
Me and my puppies were put into foster care with two human brothers who had a nice house and a large
yard. In March they decided it was time for us to find a forever home. By then I had been spayed and received my shots (ouch!!)
Mommy told me she found me when she went on the Internet (whatever that is) and looked for a new dog to love. They had just lost their very much loved Lindsy. They found my picture with my bio and called to arrange to meet me. I must say I was a little crazy – not used to a leash so I did flips as they walked me But they still wanted to take me home.
I had a lot to learn. How to climb steps in the new house – it was very strange it had wheels and wasn’t very big but I had my own bed. I had to learn to walk on a leash and potty on a leash. WOW. (but Dad says I’m smart)
But then we had to move the home – oh my. The walls started closing in and it made an awful noise but Mom and Dad were right there with me. I traveled to the next stop and only threw up once.
I’ve nagged Mom to make a blog for me so I can keep in touch with all my friends. So she did!!
I’m so happy I have a forever home with lots of love and kisses.
